LSPA Summer Institute

The LSPA Summer Institute is a summer program designed to help hone and develop young journalists' in photography, videography, broadcasting, interviewing, note taking, writing, editing, and designing. Some of the brightest high school scholars attend this. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors and incoming college freshmen are allowed to attend this prestigious camp on LSU's campus.

Students will be in a real classroom setting with actual college professors. They'll be able to hold a mock press conference with some of the fine men and women that work in or around LSU'wonderful faculty and staff. They will get a real college experience as if they were a Journalism or Mass Communications major.
