Derilyn Flanagan is always talking about his passion for football. His dream is to one day play for the NFL and later become a sports journalist.

Flanagan has been playing football since the third grade. In fifth grade, he started playing tackle football as a defensive-end. His number one fans, Derilyn Flanagan I and Jamie Flanagan, are the reason for him continuing the sport.

The Natchitoches Central junior said that he will not be mediocre.

Flanagan is looking into studying mass communication at the college of his choosing. Hoping to play college ball and if the opportunity presents itself pro ball. After retiring from football, Flanagan wants to be a sports broadcaster.
